I have a heart for women and teens, two groups that I believe chronically struggle to find their place and stand in confidence where they’re planted.
I believe the world has too many expectations of us, and anxiety and self-doubt run rampant. I’ve found healing from those stressors in nature—where I can take off my makeup, forget what I’m wearing, put my hair under a hat, and connect with the sun, the ground, the wind, and of course…the water. I want to help you do the same.
I believe the marshes of the Lowcountry are some of the most beautiful vistas on this planet, and getting up close and personal with them is nothing short of magical. I want to introduce you to them.
I believe it’s never too late to start. I want to offer you the most supportive and gentle space to be introduced to kayaking, no matter your age.
I believe community is one of the best gifts we can give and receive, and trying new things in a supportive community is fun and life giving. I want to offer you that gift.
I have training and experience:
American Canoe Association certified kayak and SUP instructor
adult and pediatric first aid/CPR certified
19 years teaching experience in public and private spaces
trained by SCDNR in marsh restoration practices
I provide the equipment, the instruction, the encouragement, and the community. You bring your sense of adventure and your willingness to step outside your comfort zone. I can’t wait to see what we build together.
