Hi, I’m Lauren, the face behind

ABOUT ME:
I believe time on the water has the power to transform—helping women find confidence, connection, and peace. I fell in love with paddling during a difficult season in my life when my health struggles took a toll on my mental wellbeing. Being in nature, especially on the water, became my refuge. It was where I felt safest and where I found the strength to move forward. Connecting with nature was a daily practice that brought me peace and helped me continue showing up for my life.
During this time, I fell in love with Charleston’s marshes and waterways. As I spent more time exploring, I learned how fragile these ecosystems are and how much they need locals to care enough to protect them. That realization led me to conservation work.
With 19 years of teaching experience (5 years in outdoor education and 4 years of conservation and marsh restoration volunteer work), I bring patience, wisdom, and encouragement to Paddle Babes. I want every woman to feel welcomed, supported, and empowered—whether she’s stepping onto a paddleboard for the first time or looking for a community that shares her love for the water.
